A real conservative leader, getting real results for Oklahoma families
Among many other recent accomplishments, Micheal Bergstrom is the principal author of two landmark bills in Oklahoma – one that protects girls’ sports and a second that defends our traditional values:
“These are uncertain times, but what hasn’t changed is our values. I’ll never lose sight of our priorities to protect our children, improve education, stand for law and order, attract more jobs and defend our way of life.”

Micheal is married to his wife of 46 years, Robin. The Bergstroms live in Adair and have 4 children and 15 grandchildren and great-grandchildren (with three more arriving soon). Micheal has served as an elder and as chairman of the Church Council at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, where his family has attended for many years.
Prior to being elected to the state Senate, Micheal served more than 20 years as an educator in public education, and was in his 19th year as an English teacher with Bluejacket Public Schools when elected. Micheal previously worked in journalism as a reporter, editor, feature writer and freelance writer.
Micheal ran for public office for the same reason he taught in public schools: To make a difference. He still receives wedding and college graduation invites from former students in a nod to his impact on their lives.
